No idea. I bought the car in Denmark, so I suppose it is for the European market.

Especially the service schedule.

It says C3 oil

To be honest the i30 manual must be one of the worst manuals out for retrieving onformation. Just one example of many. For Engine overHeating you must refer to the letter "I" ! Reason? In the book it says "If engine overheats!" Not the most obvious. My handbook was stolen a few weeks back only had it since July but it cost me £35 to replace and it is not the original book either.

...wonder why Hy are so cagey about distributing the manual and make it so expensive? It is not a work of art. Most complex gadgets have an online high resolution and easy to search (via ctrl-F) manual.

The owners manual if freely avaiable as a high-quality searchable PDF (links up the top of this thread). It's the service manualt that costs a lot, and is three bound volumes, or on a DVD if you are a dealer.

I think what I was trying to say was, for most products (eg anything from Bosch and almost any other manufacturer) the manufacturer supplies on their own website online high quality PDF documents for the manuals (not variable resolution scans).

And the high fee Hy asks for a replacement book does not give a good impression.

(Am trying to download from the Rapidshare link above but getting issues with my ip address already being in use).

Personally I wouldn't give a fiver for a paper copy. Too many yellow warning boxes and difficult to read without the ability to search the PDF!

Still not been able to access the Rapidshare service, each time a different excuse as to why I need to be a paid member. Never needed Rapidshare before and don't think it's worth subscribing for 1 document.

Already managed to get a rather poor scan off the net but curious to see if the Rapidshare one is better.
