Hi all.

Just wondering how easy (or difficult) it is to change the coolant on the GD 1.8 petrol.  I've just had a look down between the radiator and engine, but cannot easily see whether there is a drain plug or you have to remove one of the hoses. I can barely even get my hand in the gap to check properly

Also, I could not get access from under the car because there is a plastic guard which prevents having a closer look from that side.

If anyone has changed their own coolant on a GD petrol and could advise that would be great.

Thanks

I did a search and posted a link to three threads that might have helped, but when I looked at them closer they wouldn't have helped!  :Pout:

Hopefully Cruiserfied or someone else might give us some hints!

Thanks Dazzler, I also had a look around but could not find anything specific to changing the coolant.  Hopefully someone will know.

Bottom left side of the radiator there is a small white tap :)

Why??

You shouldn't need to change it yet.

@ CraigB - thanks for that, I may need to have another look

@cruiserfied - just for curiosity at this stage, as I was doing the same job on our other car, and then was poking around the GD and could not clearly see how that could be done (post warranty).

Fair enough, was gonna say you'd be throwing money away.

As Craig said........
