After almost 160,000km and just under 4 years of use I think our family run-about may have just blown the front shock seals.
I am really struggling to find any standard replacement shocks, springs or shock and spring/strut packages.
Not yet game to ask Hyundai but also figure if the first set failed I am better off avoiding factory replacements and getting something a little better in quality.
Does anyone have any idea if companies are selling after market replacement parts yet or is Hyundai still holding the production copyright on the suspension parts?

Assume your car is a 2012, so it could be FD or GD? Guessing it's probably an FD. I thought there had been some upgrades done by members. Have you approached any suspension specialists?

Edit: Welcome BTW... I just saw it is a GD (I'm on tapatalk. ..)

You may have missed it in my signature, it is a GD. It was the first one that landed at my local Hyundai with the options we wanted.
Contacted Pedders and Kings but neither cover my car unless I want it lowered.

Hmm, if I search a few DK sites I also get no result, but on 1 German site I can find Monroe material numbers G8216 & G8217 for front. However, it say only from build 01.2013, but I'm not aware of any changes between GD 2012 and GD 2013..?

It's been said that the I30 for OZ have "OZ tuned suspension" so if the shocks a part of that, they might not fit anyway.

      Caloundra, Queensland.
Monroe will be fine.
BTW. Any shocks/ struts which last over  150k are excellent. Normally, because it's a progressive loss,  you don't notice the decrease in efficiency,  unless you need to brake or swerve on an uneven surface.

Sorry I have not replied but have been travelling for medical reasons.
I contacted an old friend at King Springs Australia and was told I can get a custom set of front springs any height, any coil thickness with a 3 week turn around for $320 approx.
I was instructed just go into to any place that sold their product and ask to place a custom order and quote the price as an approximate etc and hey presto.
Hope to have a new set ordered and fitted within the month or when I get the chance, lol!
