Hi All

I have just bought a brand new i30 SR 2016 model three weeks ago and are in love with it, this would be my third Hyundai that i have owned...... i just a little concern at the moment with my new baby 
The temp gauge is giving off really strange readings this started 3 days after i bought it... so doing the right thing i contacted the dealer and booked her in for her in for them to have a look at her, the checked her and did a hard reset on it and hoped that it would be alright but unfortunately it didn't work    now they want to put a whole new cluster into my car, I'm bit weary of this happening as it wont be like new car more it feel like they will be ripping her apart .... just wondering if anyone else with an i30 SR has this happen ?????

Can't recall this mentioned before, but if there's a bad part fitted it must be replaced. It could end very bad if you can't trust the readings from the temp gauge.
Trust them to handle your new car with care..

Sorry to hear that. It will be replaced with brand new parts but I can understand your concerns.

Give it a really good inspection for interior scratches and stuff when you collect it afterwards. If you score any rattles from the replacement be sure to get them sorted.

Hi all thought i would give an update......... well im still waiting for gauge to get fixed i have been told one thing after another and the final one is the car is so new that they dont have codes yet the recode a new cluster for my car..... is there any advise someone can give as to what i can do to move this process along..... getting a slightly more frustrated everydat

Hmm, maybe it's time to contact Hyundai costumer care and let them know about your experiences...

Sounds a little strange if they shouldn't be able to code a new cluster..

It wouldn't be that it is a difficult long repair at warranty rates and the dealer dosen't want to do it would it?

Ok another update ( dramic music insert here ) i got in contact with customer care via a very long winded email with dates and explanations and what do you know two days later and we get a call saying that someone has been found that can do the job.......  so fingers crossed its smooth sailing from here
