We bought the I30 diesel monster two months ago. Mostly we drive short trips, getting the little terrorist to the kindergarden or driving to the shopping mall. Average is 0,65/l on 10 km, the car allmost never getting real warmed up so I'm happy with that. Now my wife has used the car alone for 2 weeks and now it use 0,85 l/10 km . >I've tried several times to teach her how to drive a diesel, but as allways she knows best. I have been driving diesel for 20 years in work and know how to drive for good fueleconomy, but like allways she thinks i know nothing.
We had one long trip the computer show 0,52 l/10 km, but after i fill it up the accounting show 0,40.

You need to make sure it gets warmed up well once in a while to keep it in good nick.
