Hi, I have a company car that has just turned 155000 miles, yes thats right 155000 and this car has never broken down, I bought it as an ex demo from Milton Keynes Hyundai with 1000 miles on it.  The car just keeps going, the clutch is high and when you cane it in the dark there is lots of smoke in the rear view mirror from the car behinds headlights.  Any ideas?  PS, This car has not had an easy life, its been up and down the M4 and M1 And has been driven hard, but with this amount on the clock I could not have expected any more.

When you cane even a new diesel in the dark you can see smoke that you can't see during the day.
Mine has always done it.
My car has done 201,000 kms and the clutch is a little dicky too.

We went metric on everything in about 1980. 155,000 miles = about 250,000 km and given our greater driving distances quite a lot of i30s (petrol and diesel) are up to that (and more) on the clock.

59 plate ????? = 2009 model?

re the smoke, unlikely to be oil , probably fuel, you could have a look at your injectors if you feel that your fuel consumption is too high.

The Poms are all over the plate thing, but I always forget how it works.. There are several explanations on here somewhere. I like our system better MY11 or 2010 Build etc...

Not much variation there  only 6 months

Being lit up from behind has you looking back into the light.
Most cars give a little puff when tromped to the floor / given a caning,  sometimes a BIG LOONNGG PUFF, you'll also see diirt, dust, road grime and any other crap that's about all disturbed by you .
Black/brown - running a bit rich maybe ,usually not a drama.
Blue - maybe time to upgrade
