What's the go with valve clearances in the 1.8 petrol in a 2012 GD.
Are they hydraulic lash adjusters or bucket and shim?

Well, Without looking I'd expect hyd lash. They are in the diesel and considering they  used a lot of Mitsubishi tech in the past and they were predominately that. tend to play up if you don't do oil changes on time. Why don't you google the engine you have?
