All this speaking about food has put me right in the mood for Burns Nicht on Monday.

A grand plateful of minced sheep heart, liver and lungs mixed with oatmeal, suet, spice and salt, boiled in a sheeps stomach for 3 hours served with mashed potato and mashed boiled turnip and washed down with a healthy dose of Highland Park should do the trick methinks!!

At's haggis, neeps and tatties if ye were wondering :D

Fair fa' yer honest sonsie face
Great Chieftain o' the pudden race
Aboon them a', ye tak yer place

I remember as a kid watching The Goodies "Eckythump" episode and then convincing my sister and my mum to buy some for us to try. Mum fried it up for brekky with sausages etc and it was really nice.

I've eaten tongue, tripe, haggis and lambs fry (kidneys) as a kid and being a kid I remember being forced to eat it, hehehe.

Long time since I've had Tongue or Lambs Fry (which I thought was liver not kidneys) both are nice if prepared the right way..

Haven't tried haggis or tripe (and don't want to either)  :P
