@CraigB - the link you provided I think you will find, is for the navigation software and not the maps.
I am well out of date, but when I changed to KIA, was it 3 years ago?, HERE had recently changed hands and no longer sold the maps directly to users. When you went onto their map download page it directed you to go see your Hyundai or KIA dealer. I suspect, but don't really know, that the situation remains the same.
At that time, the sat nav software and maps were both provided to Hyundai by HERE (and to several other brands I might add). There was a pause in supply for several months and much confusion with rumours they had changed to Tom Tom but I don't think that happened and the HERE maps were retained but now only sold via the dealers. The map update for my Niro costs £25 from the dealer - a snip compared with the £139 HERE used to charge for a self instal memory stick.
The above comments are confined to the UK - I have no idea of the situation in other markets.
