How many others are having the same up and down experience with android auto?
When it is working properly it is brilliant and I love it. I use 90 % of the available features...
Verbal navigation requests, select play music random and by artist. Send and reply to text messages. Set reminders. Ask for weather forcasts and other information. . Etc.
But, every so often it pretty much stops working properly.
Sometimes I know it is related to a poor internet signal. That is fine, but other times I'm sure it is not thaat.
Sometimes it won't respond properly to the voice button on the wheel. That is either no response at all or the dots come up but it doesn't acknowledge my requests. Other times when this happens I can yell "ok google" and that gets things working but only sometimes. It can be so frustrating!
I have a Samsung S8 phone. I assume it's related to Android updates and phone updates sometimes?
It is a pity because the idea is great.
I did have a short play with Apple Carplay using my Grandson's Iphone the other day and that worked reasonably well on the couple of functions I tried.
