Hi I have been quoted from my local dealer (incidentally where I bought the vehicle) £155 inc all for the first service, there is another "hyundai approved" dealership which has quoted me £130inc all however they are recommending an oil flush and fuel treatment on top. My question is this, im not bothered about the small price difference but do I need these "extra's or are they upselling for no real benefit?

Hi Andy.

NO1 is in the UK and his service is the annual (12 month) one I believe :)

As for the "extras", at that price I'd take them TBH - seems cheap at £25

First service in Sweden is at 20.000 km or 12mths.

Are the oil flush and fuel treatment included in the price for the "inc. all" service?  If so I would go for that, but if the basic service is all they are both offering for the respective prices then obviously go for the cheaper one - just make sure you are getting exactly the same from both dealers.

An important issue is: Do they fill the engine with the same type of oil at both dealers
Differ quite a lot in cost depending on what oil they fill with...

Ask for an itemised quote from both so you can compare like with like.

Also, I tend to stay with the same dealer, one I bought at, as if there are any warranty issues they have been the only garage to have tinkered with the car so they or Hy HQ can't wriggle out by saying  " well when the others did it they didn't do this or that etc etc"
