Gidday crew,

I am about to fit a light bar to our 2013 GD Wagon, before I go and let the smoke out of the wires - can anyone help out a bit?

There is a cluster of switches located above the cover for the electrical box [to the right of the steering wheel]

In this cluster of switches there is an unused blank plate - where I would like to fit a switch for the light bar.

Is the blank plate able to be removed? - or is it safe for me to drill a hole there [murphy's law says there is probably a circuit board or heap of wires inside the switch cluster]

Does anyone know if there is an "original issue looking" driving light switch that will slot into this location?

Thanks,

Stephen.

I added rheostat to my FD. Socket was already there behind the cover. Can't say what is meant to be in your empty cover. If there is socket ready behind the cover, then fitting some oem switch would be a bit more challenging as there is not enough space. Better to take cover out or check the back if you decide to drill.
