Evening!

I've a question for the Sydney Metro members out there...  My car's due for a Full service and it's almost done 180,000kms. I know it will need the following on top of the usual stuff.

- Wheel Alignment
- A/C check & Re-Gas

- Oxygen Sensor Replacement
- Rear Brake Pad Replacement
- Timing Belt

Just wondering if anyone could give me a reasonable figure for the area please?  Independent, not dealership!

Another rookie question - but it'll be the first service during my ownership and was I thinking about ordering the Pads, Belt & Sensor from Repco myself. Seems to be a big price difference on compatible parts - particularly the Oxygen Sensors! $150+ diff.  Does more expensive, always equal better quality / functionality?

Cheers in advance for the advice

Hi there I can't comment on your location specific question but buying you service parts on line from reputable companies is generally a definitely a good idea and a great way to save so dollars.

Just be aware that some service providers may load their service charge/ labour costs slightly to offset the fact they are not making any margin on the service parts.
