Regarding bluetooth phone compatibility with the Garmin sat-nav.

My Garmin Nuvi 770 synchronises fully with a Motorola mobile phone. I bought a Samsung phone recently and had problems. The only phone numbers that appeared in the address book on the Nuvi were mobile numbers. Land line numbers would not appear.  The only way I could get round the problem was by creating a second entry in the phone address book with a slightly amended name - and with the home phone number in the mobile field. It was too much of a cludge so I sold the Samsung phone and went back to my old Motorola.

Efforts to get information and help from both Garmin and Samsung customer support proved futile.

Have you tried checking whether Garmin claim to fully support your phone here...  http://my.garmin.com/bluetooth/phones.faces
