Hi all, my i30 2013 1.6 CRDI every time I come to a stop it comes up with the message Auto Stop Deactivated? Which I’ve tried to have a look on the Car Book but cannot find anything regarding and because of it I’ve noticed the ISG don’t work either? Anyone came across to this problem before? I’ve owned the car now for 8 days and it used to belong to my sister. Which she said it always came up with that message?

Would be great if someone can help please?

I don't have the same model i30 as you, but surely if the ISG "OFF" switch is illuminated like in your photo, it means you have switched it off.
Have you tried hitting that switch, to toggle it from "off" to "enabled"?
i.e. switch not illuminated.

If I press the button it say auto stop off.

With the "A OFF" switch toggled so that the LED is not lit, ISG should operate, but only when conditions allow. That means only when you have a warm engine and a fully charged battery.

With the "A OFF" switch set off and unlit, are you getting "AutoStop off" message at stops, even after a long drive?

I don't have same i30 and indications as your car, I have a PD not GD.
Maybe someone with a 2013 1.6 CRDI, or other GD version, will be able to give you a better answer.

Good words @Greyhound :goodjob:

There's also a sticked topic here, which may help explain the conditions.

So when I get Auto Stop Deactivated the light on side where the A Switch is it lights up orange. If I press again the switch then the light still stay on but on the dash I get Auto Stop Off. Even when car is up to temperature I still get the same message.

"Auto Stop Off"  =  you turned it off

"Auto Stop Deactivated"  =  the conditions prevented it occurring

I'll be honest - it's the worst feature I've ever had on a car. I always disabled mine when I started a journey.

I agree with you, Shambles.

If my FD had this feature I would do what I could to permanently disable it.

I have a 2015 diesel and it does seem a bit hit and miss whether the ISG works. Today for example, I drove 8 miles to the office, and it didn't work at all. Just shows the 'Auto-stop conditions not met' message. Same thing on the way home. Other times it will work when I've only driven a couple of miles from cold.

On the PD you get a simple Orange (A) on the dash if conditions are not met and no engine stop, or Green (A) and engine stop in the rare situation when the conditions are met. Unless you have toggled the ISG defeat button near the gearchange.
The text messages you get on earlier models seem a bit confusing IMO.
