Is there anyway to make the picture clarity better in these? Mine is absolute crap quality (specially at night) and wish I could just turn it off at night times, Because the really bright screen in a pitch black area is off putting and cant see a thing with it anyway.

Ive never owned a car with a reverse camera but don't understand why they add all these cool features in the car and a really nice clear screen and then they cheap out on this reverse camera. Even the camera in my Mums i30 2015 active is way clearer then this one.

So anyway to make it better?

Thanks.

LED reverse lights drastically improve the night time camera quality :link: 2X iJDM T10 T15 W5W 12V 20W CREE CANBUS LED HEADLIGHT SIDE LIGHT BULBS REVERSE | eBay unfortunately they're currently not in stock :(

Check if your PD takes the same T15 bulb :undecided:

Cheapest, easiest way to improve your picture quality is to have more reversing light. It may not do much for your daytime problem but it's a huge difference at night.

For the daytime, you could experiment with some shrouding above and around the lens. Less daylight may actually help clarity.

Upgraded my PDs Reversing lights with these AUXITO 921 912 T15 W16W 4000LM LED CSP Super White Backup Reverse Light

Also with the latest head-unit update for the PD there is now a setup page to adjust the Brightness & contrast for both day and night time use.
The setup icon is only visible for a very short time once you engage reverse.

(Don't judge by my camera image the car and camera lens is filthy  :undecided:)

Does changing the brightness do anything for the clarity during the day? It would probably be good for night time hey?

Also, do you need to pay hyundai to get the latest update?

PD satnav updates are free from Hyundai websites. Just follow their links and instructions online, download and install.
