Back in August 2019 I posted about changing the drop links on an 8-year old car with 180,000 miles on the clock. That's how long the factory-fit parts lasted. My job this weekend was replacing the after-market Moog parts after 3 1/2 years and 80,000 miles when that familiar suspension clunk returned. They have a 3-year warranty so I guess parts makers are getting quite expert at making them last just long enough to be out of warranty.
This time I managed to find Delphi parts which were a steal at £6 each, with the added bonus of the seller being only a few miles away. Hopefully they will out-last the car, although having got it past 250,000 miles. I'd like to make the half-million.
