Or waste pipe (assuming its the same as in the UK) with two square opposing notches cut in it. I keep mine with the spare tyre.
Lorian, I'm not sure exactly what a "waste pipe" is, but I can guess from your description. And, yes, it would do the same job and maybe at a fraction of the cost. Unfortunately, I am an addicted tool aficionado (fancy word for "snob") and have always fancied the elegant solution over the "inelegant" in my toolbox, with some pain to the wallet.
