Navigation System Error - Application blue.exe encountered

Hello,
I am new here and hope that I may find a solution to an issue with my navigation system. In the past few days I have the following message popping up on the navigation screen.

"Application blue.exe encountered a serious error and must shut down."

I have tried a factory reset. The issue persists. I find that it clears when I turn off the ignition for a period of time (overnight), but when I connect to Bluetooth and commence my drive this pesky message pops up within 5 minutes, and then I lose all Bluetooth function, including voice for phone calls.

A bit over 12 months ago, I had an issue with the maps side of things where the navigation seemed to be stuck on navigating home. The dealership offered no solutions, so in frustration I stopped using maps and used Google Maps via my mobile phone. Until now I have had no other issues.

I am the 2nd owner of this vehicle.

I am hoping that there is a solution that avoids having to replace the unit as I believe this will be costly. It seems to be a common issue when I google it, but I cannot find a solution yet.
