Have a 2010 i30 crdi (wagon) and have isolated my issue to a faulty EGR
not interested in getting it replaced as the same issue will eventually happen so am going for a delete. From what I know and have read on other threads here, you can physically block it but the car will continue to throw codes relating to the insufficient flow through EGR. Therefore an 'ECU delete' (force flaps to stay shut) will need to be done.
Has anyone done this themselves or knows of equipment I could purchase to do this. Been quoted $700 from local mechanics but it can't be done for two months and need to use my car in the meantime.
Thanks in advance!
