Hi guys,

I am having an issue with the audio in my car.

about 2 to 5 times per song there is a tiny audio stutter that is really ruining my vibes of listening to music in the car.

I am using android auto and a google pixel 6 connected via a usb cable streaming music with spotify.

I've updated the head unit to the latest version and tried quite a few things to try and remedy this issue such as changing battery optimization and a few developer options in the phone that I found on another forum. I've tried a couple of different usb cables.

Ive tired all the stuff in this thread :link: Bluetooth skip and stutter except for changing the quality of the audio stream in spotify ( gonna try this tomorrow ).

I am guessing that its most likely an issue with android auto but I am hoping the vast knowledge on here may lead to a solution.

If anyone has any idea how I might fix this that would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going to keep scouring the internet though and will keep you updated if I find a fix for this.

Regards,

So an update!!

I reinstalled the firmware on the head unit following ALL the instructions and fingers crossed its all working perfectly so far.

I don't want to get my hopes up too much but its seems to be all good.

will properly test it in the next few days and update this thread.

Not all that surprised. As cars get more dependent on operating systems, the first resort is increasingly updating to the latest version before trying other things. Happy it's sorted!

Well the audio issue is back.

I am now thinking that perhaps its something to do with my phone then which is quite annoying as I don't particularly want to upgrade that.

I am waiting for a new USB cable to see if that will resolve my issue, I guess it could also be some kind of caching or memory issue as I notice the GD-03 doesn't have much memory at all.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Eliminate through substitution. If you suspect it's the phone, do the same thing with another phone or another model. If you suspect the cable, try another, but don't do both at the same time or you're still at least one step from solving the problem.

So the saga continues.

I have tired 3 different phones now an apple phone using car play and a Samsung using AA and I am still getting this annoying sound issue.

I have also tried multiple cables a brand new one from google and a really short cable like really short lol still having the same issue.

I am really at a loss of how to fix this issue. I think ill try and contact Hyundai and see if they have a solution as I feel like I have tried everything.

I really don't want to have to resort to paying 500+ to get a new head unit as it seems like a waste of money when the GD-03 does everything I want it to except for not drive me mad.

Any solutions would be appreciated!

Edit: Just had a thought that perhaps it could be a faulty connection somewhere as well. I might do some investigating behind the head unit when I get around to it...
