Hello all.  MOT due in a week, but Im Just deliberating on wether to have a full or interim service at the same time (67 plate petrol i30 with 55k on the clock ).  We have done 8,000 miles since the last full service.  Is it worth the extra £100 to have the Full service, when I cant see that much that wont be covered by an MOT & Interim service ? (apart from an Air Filter and taking the wheels off to check brake disks etc).
Please bear in mind Im useless with cars so wouldnt be doing anything technical myself.
We use this garage :

Thanks in advance.

Hopefully, the car was serviced at Hyundai dealer whilst it was under warranty, so do you have a service schedule sheet that lists everything they do and at what intervals? I do all my own servicing, but if you are really useless with cars, I'd suggest going to a garage that has a good reputation. Some jobs like changing the air filter, cabin filter, wiper blades are so easy to do it's a no-brainer to do it yourself.

A benefit of doing it myself is that I can select top-quality parts, rather than trusting a garage that may just buy what's cheapest at the time. My own car is on a 20,000 mile/2 year service plan, with a recommended interim service that was just an engine oil change. I always did that myself, but then I don't mind getting under the car and getting my hands dirty.

I'm not a fan of their 20k oil service routine, mine has been changed by the previous owner every 10k and I've carried that on as I did with my previous cars.

That's why I do mine at 10K intervals, although when I had one on a lease with a service plan, the lease company definitely wouldn't pay for an intermediate oil change that was only 'recommended' and I wasn't allowed to do any maintenance myself
