I'm experiencing the window problem that seems to be affecting the i30.
I have a 2011 Comfort 1.6 petrol estate.
Passenger front switch lowers but doesn't always raise the window. The master switch also doesn't raise the nearside windows.

I've had both switches out, apart and have
cleaned the contacts with spray cleaner. The motor is receiving voltage and the switches work fine when checking with a multitester.

I've read some posts here on the topic but there doesn't seem to be conclusive fix for the issue. The switches work off the car but are intermittent when plugged into the window motor.
I've seen the switches available quite cheap but are probably copies. I replaced the window washer motor with a cheaper one and that's been ok.
Looks like that's what I'll need to do and hope it works.

Armchair diagnosing your story results in less attention given to the possibility of the system motors-onwards being the problem. Are the windows clean and free of obstruction? Is the window riser system well lubricated? A big clue is that, despite the switches performing well in isolation, the effort against both friction and gravity seems to be situated elswhere.

I have a 2015 SE Nav and the driver's window controls all work fine, but the front passenger door switch will wind the window down, but not up. I keep meaning to get the door cards off and swap the switch with the one on the rear door, to check if it's just the switch. According to past receipts the window switch in the driver's door was replaced. It's not urgent because it's rare to have passengers in the car, so a minor niggle at present

You may find giving the switch contacts a polish will do as much as full replacement, provided the problem isn't in the solenoid instead.
