  • Sorry, but my karma just ran over your dogma.
I'm thinking of tarting up Lubricious a bit with a new gear knob but cannot get the existing one to budge. Any ideas???

Unscrew the gear knob to the left, the screw is normal metric, M12 X 1,25. I made changes.

yer probably screw driver, there would be a screw behind it or in the side if its like most autos, if its like the maxima then its a window winder clip hidden under a trim at the base...

I had a look for both a locking screw or clip and there are none. On the auto, from what I ca see, the gear knob appears to be part of the gear shifter shaft.

Any more ideas....and no more funny stuff argentr

but on a bit of a more serious note, looking at http://www.koreanautoimports.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=31_529_201&products_id=850 there appears to be clips and a possible screw/allen key hole in the centre? I have no idea how you intend on getting the clips out but maybe you can contact KAI and see if they can scan the instructions since you *cough* are interested in purchasing this item from them but want to know how to go about it first *cough*   :whistler:

Thanks WaJa. From the KAI pics, it looks like the chrome cover screws off to reveal the clips that hold the gear knob in place. I'll check it out and post back. BTW...the prices on their website are bloody expensive.
