Hey that is good news!
I can't really answer your question (although I would err on the caution side regarding DPF's and low milers), but does this mean that my 2010 made /2011 spec /June 2010 registered UK supplied CRDi Comfort auto has no DPF?  Yippee if that is indeed so as I had just assumed that it had the dreaded DPF!  How would I know?

They do, but they have to search the MOBIS database with options for each year's model.

Check Google, bad but supposedly good for air quality.

I thought it was just a filter, but this DPF's price is a bit "salty"

It's possible that all Czech made i30s with 1.6L-U and 1.6L-U2 diesel engines are fitted with DPF (or CPF*) since 15th Oct 2008.

By quoting the VIn number they should be able to confirm whether or not your car has one.

Try phoning HY UK as they have details of all cars imported into the UK and should be able to confirm
  • 1.4 Petrol Active I'm no expert, so please correct me if

I noticed that the DPF gets regenerated quite frequently on my new i30. I'm driving mainly on the freeway.
First regeneration was at approx. 1200 km and laster for 15 minutes (then I arrived home and regeneration was stopped) - i could smell the heated metal when I left the car.
Second regeneration started at approx. 1500 km and lasted for more than 20 minutes (on the freeway)
Third regeneration at 2270 and lasted 30 km (again approx. 20 minutes).

Is this normal? Shouldn't it be less frequent and shorter in duration? Especially, because I'm using mostly freeways...

Hi Neoto, what happens when the DPF is regenerating - I was wondering what I should look out for?

I usually look at the current consumption in the trip computer display. When the DPF is regenerating, the consumption is approx. 2 l/100km higher than usual. However, I would prefer that there would be an indicator in the instrument cluster, which would reflect the DPF status.

it could be more frequent because your fuel is of lower quality and doesn't burn as clean ,but I'm only guessing.
