Hi, I've got a rattle in the back of my estate car.  I thought that it was something metal loose in the spare wheel well but I've taken everything out of the boot and the rattle is still there.  I've read the forum and seen that there are issues with the shock absorber noise but mine look OK.  I am taking my car back to the dealer about a non starting issue tomorrow so will ask them to have a look but it would be good to know if anyone else has had these problems.

for your reference, possible source of the rattle, i found the picture for you. Try put something on it. At least it's useful to some crdi vehicles.

I guess the trouble with these things is that they are difficult to pin down.   I am taking the car back to the dealer tomorrow and will see what they say.  If they can't fix it then I will try the fix around the boot door lock first and see if that helps before trying anything more technical!

Thanks for your replies.

Another thing to try, if it's not too late, is to back off the rubber stoppers on the boot door, such that the boot door becomes a tighter fit.

Hi jb

I notice a small rattle in the back of the Wife's CW if the parcel blind thingy (that's the technical term) is not extended and clipped in place... :winker:
