That poses an interesting situation... if someone buys those guess they will be up for $200 per year as well!!

That poses an interesting situation... if someone buys those guess they will be up for $200 per year as well!!

That looks like the case according to the SA transport website. It's a bit steep if that is on top of normal rego costs.

I find the whole "personalised plate thing" a massive ripoff anyhow, all that dosh for a stamped piece of tin....  :-\

I always said I wouldn't get them (especially when there was an annual fee) But we recently relented and spent $295 each car (one of payment) We are both happy, although as you say lot of money for a bit of pressed tin 

Someone with an Identical Hybrid to ours (colour and model) has HYBRID plates down here that would have set them back $995 .. I wouldn't have paid that
