What's this about rumours we wont get the CW?

Also I have been meaning to look again to see if the roof rails were there. Happy to see there not!

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

There were a heap of publicity around it, which seems strange if it isn't coming.

Guess time will tell.

We've heard it from two sources now, two different dealerships who had both received an email from Hyundai.
But I hope it's wrong and that it does come here. It's a nice looking wagon.

Seems strange that Holden can find a market to design and build a Cruize wagon, and Hyundai can't find a market to import one that is all ready to go....

Some might argue the I40 takes that place, but at current prices there is 10k difference which is a big slab of cash.

Even allowing for the fact that the I30 is at the end of its model life and throwing another say 2k on for the new model, its still 8k difference, which is a lot to talk up a family, or even a business.

Excellent photos.  Looks like a nice car.

What is the bar thing in the boot for?  Some sort of luggage restraint system?
Hopefully they won't reduce the leg room in the rear to increase the boot space.
Wonder if the seats will fold flat this time.
Any hopefully there's a little more sound insulation thrown in.

There is supposed to be as much or more leg room in the back (and a bigger storage area...)
Apparently the seats will fold flat this time and it is considerably quieter... :happydance:

Re the advice that it won't be coming to Aust - hopefully they are just trying to keep their sales up.
People will buy one of the existing CW's because there isn't going to be a new one & therefore move old model stock.
Those that were waiting for a new CW will settle for one of the normal new model I30's.
When the pent up demand for the new model drops off after a year or 18 mths, they will start looking for new sales. Then they will freshen up the I30 range by releasing the new CW.
Anyway, that's what I'm hoping anyway - looks like a good car.

Or they could walk to the Cruze and not buy a Hyundai at all.

I hope that is right and it does come here, but the info received was not just from a dealership, but from an email that was sent out to dealerships so that's obviously what their position is at the moment.
Here's hoping  :)

So, since yesterday (or few days ago) we have the "CW" in Slovenia. " " because it's not called i30CW anymore, but it's just i30 wagon.

Here are few pics:

..and few more:

Haven't checked it out in person yet. The prices are, comparing to the previous model, higher (as expected). For now, the difference is around 2.000-3.000 EUR (AU$ 2,500-3.700). Too much for me. But it sure looks great.

Unfortunately the xenon lights are not standard in any equipment over here and you can get them only if you decide to add the "business extras" also -> which among other things (el.folding mirrors, smart key, chrome door handles) includes, as mentioned above, xenon lights. And that "package" costs additional 1.500 EUR. Or just install the xenon kit

They are apparently only making them at the european factory (wereas ours come from Korea)

The word was they were only making them in left hand drive but think that is bunkem because the UK is going to get them...

Edit... I didn't realise you had added more photos accim  :-[ :thanx: :judges:

That thing looks better then the i40

We don't get the new CW here because bringing in from Czechoslovakia would blow the price right out. For some stupid reason the Korean factory doesn't make it any more, as stated earlier
