Ah its all good fun, I just wanted to see what it could do, its certainly exceeded my expectations as I never truely expected it to break the 1:10 barrier on street tyres, let alone do a 1:09, and I reckon its capable of a 1:08 once I get used to the new tyres

Well done.
I see the Dogleg is as bumpy as ever.
I have a few mates racing Historic Cars and they reckon the  track is better than it's ever been.

Great vids, you can really see the new tyres aren't protesting in the corners as much as the old ones (not as much squeeling)

now remove the passengers seat for more weight reduction, only takes 3-4 minutes.

cheers

Ralph

You wouldnt hear it over the tyre roar from the semi slicks anyway :)

Plenty of head-banging tho

The faster I go the harder it is to stay in the seat, if I want to keep it road legal I cant use harnesses because I cant change my seat, so head banging will have to do lol

Great stuff.

I wish you'd stop posting those up.

I'm getting all antsy.

Wonder what my petrol jobby would do round there?

If my memory serves me correctly I was doing about 1m 12s in my old Renault 12, many years ago.
But I could be 10 seconds out there. :-[

Hi Rob (I think it is Rob?)

Its hard to know what to compare my car to, it has the straight line acceleration and performance of an old Holden sedan but the cornering speed is a lot higher due to the semi slicks, the 1:08 lap puts me into the average lap an s13/s14 silvia with minimal mods might do but its still quite slow.  I have friends there in the 1:07 bracket with s14's and clios and mx5s so the little oil burner isnt doing too badly :)
