He probably has misguided brand loyalty to some other manufacturer, and has never actually sat in an i30. Whilst the getz might have been a good little car (I never sat in one lol) I'm sure the i20 will help lift the brand futher in .au

Where I live in the UK, when I ordered my i30 (is it really 8 months ago!) I don't recall seeing any i10s, i20s or i30s being driven about. Now, I generally see some every trip. Driving an i30 causes a phenomina I've not noticed in any other car I have owned.  If I exchange a glance with another i30 owner I always seem to get a big grin or knowing nod in return.

i10's are like belly buttons in Aberdeen, I am guaranteed to meet a few on every trip, they have gone down a storm with the "mature" driver

i20 less so, but still a good number of them appearing, up here they seem popular with the fairer sex (looks like a Corsa, better equipped than a Corsa, 5 year warranty better than the Corsa's 3 year, doesn't attract ned culture Corsa insurance premiums, i guess the list goes on..................)

i30 becoming very popular, there was always a few in Aberdeen when I got mine, but again on most trips I will see one or two now (including the knowing nod/big grin brigade, which I guess I must be part of )
I stuck flyers under the wipers of two at the supermarket yesterday :D

Have a look at the comments by some guy called The Frugal one.

This guy has been a Hyundai and i30 basher for several years (he appears to be a Corolla fan from the earlier comments I saw) Deep down he must be feeling like a fool now...
