I have 2 iPhone 3GS. One works as expected. One locks up the BT in the car, my wife's phone naturally. Any idea where I should start to troubleshoot this problem?

Don't forget that the Hyundai system imports multiple numbers as single entries, so if your phone has 50 entries with a home and mobile number, the hyundai will create 100 entries. which may be more than it can handle.

Noted, good point. I think a cull of contacts is in order. Does anyone have a technical manual I could read for this device.

Contact list too big was the correct answer. Thank you bumpkin and beerman. Issue is now resolved.

Just for any future people reading, I had to cull my contacts, but also go to email accounts and unselect "contacts" from my work email address.  It was synced with all contacts through my work email (even though they weren't showing on my phone contact list)

I believe its more but exactly what it is I cannot say. I have 200 contacts in my phone which will be more than 2x that in phone numbers. My wife's phone had about the same amount of contacts before the cull but no telling how many numbers that was.
