While driving home this afternoon we had to spend one hour in a traffic jam on encircling highway caused by road works, though the length of this jam was only 6km

Why is it when you are in a traffic jam all lanes except yours seem to move forward and yours doesn't.

Then if you change lanes to the one that is moving faster than yours you are then in the slowest .............

Same happens in the supermarket checkout or any place I join a queue ......

it is only a work of your imagination; it is better to stay in one lane instead of changing them constantly, the latter may lead to an accident (you may see one in the video with Mazda and truck involved).

I reckoned there was an obstacle ahead, when that truck had its turn lights on, but I though it might be because of a slow moving vehicle

there are plenty of them when there is a traffic jam on the road, they typically excuse themselves by having an urgent affair or whatsoever

I would prefer caltrops to be tossed when necessary

Anyway, sooner or later those drivers would get the problems with suspension, so it means lot of money to pay for repair
