Hi,
I am anticipating a negative answer but ...
when I play an mp3 track from the USB stick the file name (like track23.mp3) is displayed on the screen and to get to the song title you need to press the info button a couple of times. I take it there is no way to program the player to display the song title by default instead of the file name.
I don't really want to rename the file.

Thanks

Mike

I wasn't even aware the info button did that

Just tried a few things but couldn't get it to stay on "title"

I rip my stuff with format factory or similar, so it renames the files automatically to the song title.

With the i30 most of my files used to automatically display the artist and the song title (Ripped about half of mine with Windows Media Player 9/10 and the rest I downloaded off the net) In most cases media player automatically named the songs correctly to enable this to happen..

My new vehicle (Camry Hybrid) doesn't display them as well as the i30 did .. I displays file and track number  (I have to press text button to get individual names up)

I've never had this problem with mp3 or wma files. It shows whatever the song title is and performer, unless it's something I've copied off a tape or vinyl album and I haven't renamed it at the time.

Mine shows the file name like "06 Yellow Brick Road.wma" instead of "Yellow Brick Road".
It is annoying but don't think it can be changed.

Oh! Well, yes. That's what mine does but at least it's got the name there, not just "Track 1" etc.
I never thought about the "06" or "wma" being annoying. It'll probably bug tne hell out of me now.
Thanks for that Mutley.

Hahaha it's always the little things that I find and then they bug me, gotta share the bug around. "Sharings caring"  :D :P

If your file is called Track 01 then that's what shows even if your details within the file are correct.
That's what feldom is refering too I believe.
