so finally measurements are
                       Tunned (Factory)
0-100 km/h ->   8,121 sec (9,773 sec)
0-160 km/h -> 22,289 sec (29,632 sec)
80-120 km/h -> 5,924 sec (7,309 sec)
402 meters -> 15,848sec@139,55km/h (16,967sec@129,28 km/h)

its 145 HP :) i still don't know how much torque but I'll be back with that info too

little  update. I was l busy lately so i was not on forum a lot ....

I just had little trip from Zagreb, Croatia - Graz, Austria - Vienna, Austria - Zagreb, Croatia ...

Filled to the top in Zagreb, drove 130 km/h all the time on highway :)

770 km there and back, still have little below 1/4 tank of diesel :)

Board comp says 150 km to go :) and 5.0 l/100 km

And this is tuned diesel from 116 HP /255 NM to 145 HP / 328 NM :) :) :) :) :)  :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

This is the table how my tuning went... And i think i wont tune this much further :) this is it :)

I'll bet your using a very good brand and grade of oil.  :idea: :wink:

Turbo's specs are up to 150 HP :) so there is no problem there

Oil is regular oil that you probably use :) i still go only every 20.000 km for regular service :)

Nice job Andrejs :goodjob:
Noticed that 80-120 km/h is (a little) worse with the bigger IC.
It would be nice to see a comparison with the stock car, of HP/RPMs and torque/RPMs diagrams :wink:

Hi andrejs, that's a really great result and great car!
Only, if I invested all that time and money to get such a nice engine, I would change my oil more often (15 kkm sound like a compromise :)).

You know what impresses me about this? The lack of bullshit mods.

I can think of quite a few things that you could do, some useful, some not, to gain the last ounce of power.

Namely, lightened and possibly underdrive pulleys (so alternator, etc).
Methanol injection
Port and polish (yes this can be done on diesels)

All of which involve either a high level of effort, or a high level of possible bullshit going wrong :P

However they're all big jobs. Lightened pulleys on accessories (like altenator and power steering) isnt stupid, but underdrive usually is, you never know how a cars electronics\sensors will deal with decreased performance on its accessories.

Port and polish is expensive, and while its in truth very safe, methanol injection to me is just a pain.

Considering its an auto, can i suggest a gearbox specialist? often (though not always) the bands are adjustable, and a thinner oil can be used in order to get it to shift quicker. it'll feela little harsher, but the i30 shifts like a cloud right now, some harshness wont be much, haha.

So yeah, It surprises me that a CAI made any difference, considering the car technically HAS one already. It must be the bigger piping and the freer flowing filter.

Considered LPG injection :D thats a true performance technology for diesels.

andrejs, I like the color of your i30, too :)  I have BV i30cw myself.

Anyway, I love the idea of keeping the stock look of the car and having something similar to a jet engine under the bonnet.  :whistler:

Interesting thread! will be great to see how your Car turns out once you have all the mod's. do you think the larger turbine will loose some low rev Torque? thats interesting that you all use HP to measure power & NM to measure Torque. here we measure in metric now, so power will be measured in KW & TQ in NM but if we use American made Dyno's or American made software it will be HP & the Torque will be measured in Foot Pound.

Lester that is very interesting to learn about why we drive on left side of road. maybe same principal move some countrys to right side as right handed gear shift.

Also what sort of Dyno & do you have weather settings, did you use an engine Dyno to get the flywheel HP & TQ readings? or are they drive wheel numbers on a chassis Dyno?
