Thanks Trevor but these articles are very lightweight aren't they. Slow news day, just pump up the site with some vague assertions (very little detail or examples) I didn't watch the video yet, but the copy was very light on!

yes Dazz, a really disappointing article, I was hoping to find a dodgy tactic that I could use... but nada Light weight as it is, tabloid methodology is to find the victim of the day. They keep pushing buttons and suddenly bingo, a Judge , religious nut or youth group will become their victim of the month....$$$$
That's a good mechanic right there. Reminds me of the OEM tyres on the back that had me convinced of some kind of serious joint wear. The mighty Diamondbacks fixed that.
I like the mechanic that I have abandoned my dealer for. My grandson had his car serviced there the other day and he asked them to inspect for the car giving a rough noisy ride. They reported that they inspected all the suspension, shocks etc and that the the rough running is due to the cheap tyres he put on the rear that are scalloped slightly. Did he advise new tyres ? yes he did but he also said " they have plenty of tread left and as you have not got false teeth if I was you I would run them until they wore out " Suits my grandson, Uni is keeping him tight on money.

I am convinced that had it been a big dealer they would have found many not required repairs. Go the Mighty Diamondbacks a !! sounds like a baseball team.
Ah sooooo...... you DO have something to hide Mr D. Hmmmmm and they say you are ... very wealthy.

Something to be looked at when money isn't so tight. But yes, a good honest mechanic.

Shocks don't last as long some may think especially some of the OEM stuff. If there's one thing that's has a huge impact on vehicle stability and braking ability it's shocks. I'd say high probability this is why the tyres are wearing. Both my hatch and the wagon have suffered squared off tyres in the rear. Not always obvious on smooth roads. They both now have japanese KYB EXCEL G, avoid those unknown cheapies on Ebay. Not sure where Monroe sits these days
