Hi ,

I recently bought a used Hyundai i30 1.4 classic but I was surprised to see that  the car came without central armrest. Can anyone please let me known where I can find original armrest new/used in the U.K? and if it is easy to fit ?

Many thanks in advance

Try a wreckers/breakers, would be fairly inexpensive I'd think.

pay attention to variants also, some may have had EPB electronic Park Brake, console for that will be completely different to conventional setup.

Like Craig says, wrecking yard would be the go, dealer for new but the price would be horrendous I expect

thanks very much guys.

I have contacted several breakers but they refuse to sell parts. I will keep trying.

Btw, I had no idea that I had to look for variants, as I assumed the central armrest would be the same and you can just kind of plug it in.

I found this on eBay, will it fit my car? the car compatibility on eBay says it will -

also, how easy is it to fit the armrest? do I need some special tools or can I simply plug it in?

thanks once again for sharing your expertise!

These are the only breakdown images I can find. Frustrating as I can not find your version and also of RHD.

My assumption was you were replacing the entire centre console to achieve an armrest which is what I expect you will need to do.

I can not see in your image a join line suggesting the rear of your console is removeable or anywhere for that armrest assembly to attach to.

There are 2 armrest types, one may have a sliding lid

84660A5100RY

These are CZECH PLANT-RUS and CZECH PLANT-EUR images.

Can't add much more at this point

The main console body part numbers.

I've found 3

84611A6000RY - STD  handbrake, no armrest
84611A6100RY - STD hand brake with armrest
84611A6300RY - EPB with armrest

I expect yours is the first one.

Thanks very much for your help mate.

I don’t want to replace the entire center console, that will be too much hassle. I was thinking, maybe I could fit just the armrest myself, perhaps by drilling a couple of holes in the center console.

Also, there is a severe lack of Decent looking third party armrest for i30 (2013). I guess I am stuck with no armrest for now.

If you're not prepared to replace the centre unit with the correct  one, I think trying to mod the non arm rest version may end up a mess. It is what it is I would say.

Tapan, If you were to go visit an auto trimmer/upholsterer they'd be able to bash out a console lid for you.

Looking at the console tw pictured it looks like it wouldn't be too hard to make up, there's even a small rear compartment where the hinge could be placed.
