Hello All from Snowy England.

My missus 2010 Hyundai i30 left brake light had blown a couple of weeks ago so i changed the bulb last Saturday and all was good. Tonight she came home and the same bulb was not working again but now the main beam headlights both have stopped working. I replaced the rear light yet again and it started working, however on on inspection on the bulb i took out it appears to not to be blown.

The side lights work and full beam works but the main beam is not. I checked the bulb on one side and it appears in working order i.e not blown. i am stumped has anyone else come across this? Any advice appreciated.

All The Best

There appears to be more going on there than just a blown l brake light. I can only suggest that you check all connections to both lights. Have someone appply the brake with the lamp out of the fixture and while on, move all wires feeding the lamp socket to see if the lamp flickers, could be a poor contact somewhere, which will need to be fixed. Same procedure with the headlamp.

Still under warranty then let the dealer sort it out if it isn't obviously a blown bulb issue.

Have you checked the fuse to make sure that is OK.

ps welcome from a snow bound Wirral..............
