Hi all,

I have replaced my 2009 1.6 CRDi  with a 2018 Kia 1.6 CRDi UK spec.

When I drive very gently and do a long down hill stretch ( barely touching the pedal ) I get a tick tick tick which gets louder and becomes a ka chick, ka chick ka chick.  The noise is in time with the revolutions of a wheel and something is obviously rubbing on something.  On the worst occasion it got really loud and it seemed like something was about to drop off.  This seems to be coming from the NSF

As soon as I get onto the level or go uphill and accelerate the noise stops completely and everything seems fine.

If I take the car to the dealer under warranty they will test drive it and sods law says it won't do it - it is all very flat around here so no long hills to go down.

Can anyone suggest what may be causing this ?

Can you record it on your phone. You can post a audio (or video) clip here on the forum, but it would also be evidence when you take it to the dealer/mechanic.

I am assuming it is not something stupid like a stone in the NS tyre?
