Hi, seems to be a tight knit forum here.

Was just checking it out, have been tracking the I30 befor it was released. From all reports it's the best little car out.

Was going to buy a Diesel SLX...but made the decision to sell up and move to WA (kalgoorlie) to get a job truck driving.
If anyone is thinking of doing it, it's bloody stupid hard to get a trainee driver position!
The old "it's not what you know, but who you know" wont get you in any more. I know this because my uncle works a Mt Keith
as a dump truck driver. Yesterday he called and said there was 16 trucks parked up because they have no drivers?
So he went to the big boss and said that I'm after a job and the big man said ha cant do anything to help, you have to go through all these bullshit
agencies to get in. bla bla bla.

So if you ever think of coming up make sure you got plenty of $$$ saved to get you by!

My 21 y/o Daughter and her Boyfriend are moving to Perth WA for a change of scenery at around Xmas time

I havn't been to Perth as yet, i've been told it's a very nice city.
They are @ 20 years behind though! Shops shut on sunday ect..

There ARE jobs out there and i have been offered positions they aren't that hard to find, but im focusing on only the one job.
And thats a dump truck trainee.

The only reason i havn't taken any of the other jobs is that i do have a fair bit of savings so im fortunate to have the choice.
When my uncle came up he had a suitcase and $1000, he had to take a heap of random jobs befor he got into driving.
