Hello.

I don`t have any problems yet, just wondering, if my 2014 i30 1.6L diesel 81 kW has hydraulic lash adjusters to automatically adjust valve clearance. Does anybody knows? I tried search engines, but no luck.

Thanks

Thanks. Means a lot to me.  :happydance: And one question out of topic: diesel passenger cars are common in Australia? Isn`t it like in USA that they hate diesels?

I guess they are popular in Australia because the lazy torque suits our driving conditions and approximates the power of the bigger engines we are used to, but with better economy!

Distances between cities are much larger than Europe, so Diesel economy work well in Australia. I believe the Diesel fuel used in USA is not Suitable for the i30, so it is not supplied in the US as a Diesel option.

I wonder what Hyundai's excuse is for not bringing in the diesel i30's this side. The only diesel options we get are with the ix35 and the i20 as far as I know. Possibly the Santa Fé. We get down to 50ppm diesel here and there are plenty of VW and Toyota diesel engines running about

I'd trade my i30 in for a diesel variant in a heartbeat
