Ive got a 57 plated I30, my problem is the N/S/R door lock has decided its not going to work it just wont unlock via the central locking anymore, I can pull on the lock button whilst pressing the unlock button on my remote & this will then open I can then lock the door via the remote & it locks , it will also unlock but if I leave it say a couple of minutes it wont work again can anyone tell me if this is a dodgy solenoid or not? if it is where can I get one? Thanks

Similar thing is happening on my old i30 which my son now owns.

And it is the same door!

When asked at the dealers was told it requires new unit.

Asked for price but can't remember how much now.

Know it was ££££ as they said door panel and glass  has to be removed.

As he does not use the door just left it.

Wonder if yours just requires a squirt of  wd40 to loosen any sticking parts?
