I work three jobs at a supermarket and I fly planes!

That is a very unusual combination!
And are we saying 3 separate jobs at one supermarket or working at 3 different supermarkets.

One supermarket.  Perhaps the most soul destroying place to work.

It feels like they are completely separate jobs though because they often conflict, and I work with completely different people.  I get different sets of pay etc, it's all a bit weird.

And I don't fly for a job, I just threw it in there to make myself sound interesting.  I'm actually a rather boring bastard, most most of money gets eaten by flying rather than multiplied.

A lot of you have enviable and interesting occupations.  it's also interesting to see how one kind of car can work for people doing such varied things.  That is if you use your car for work anyway.  I transport stuff sometimes, one of the reasons I switched to an i30 was the space in the rear!

It's great that you have a hobby that you love.
As far as jobs go, I've often thought that sometimes we have to do a job we don't like (and I've had my fair share) to help us appreciate what we do like and to give us something to aim for.
And regarding your comment about the i30 appealing to so many varied people & lifestyles, I couldn't agree more and I've made the same observation myself.  :)

Pity I didn't know this when I was having problems with the recent repair to my previous i30.

I did have a read up on that, Couldn't believe what i was reading. At our work place if the first job is not perfect it does not leave the shop and we work out why its not right.

Paint these days is generally mixed via a computer and weighing scales. You put in the weights of the tinters and finally add the binders. Then it all goes into a shaker or in some cheaper shops mixed by hand.

You find the colour using the code and because of variations during productions there are whats known as alts. Lets use your new colour as an example. You would have Aqua Blue alt 1/2/3/4/5 perhaps. All very very slightly different. You would use colour chips to compare the alts with the paint on the car to establish which version of the paint is on the car.

Doesn't seem like any of the above applies to the shop that butchered your i30 lol

Couldn't believe what i was reading.

I think after the first return they were trying to wear me down, probably at their cost, and to accept it but I just kept on refusing until eventually they got it right.

Seeing as I'm a new member, thought I'd post.

I'm a telecoms engineer in the UK. Not like a BT engineer, who specialise in one thing, but more like a jack of all trades. I work with Radio, Optical, Electrical, DWDM systems (not like many of you will know what that is ;))

So, what's your opinion of, dense wavelength division multiplexing, then

I actually prefer the old less dense half wavelength diviplexing to be honest. Much more reliable.
