Nothing much new on the Turbo front here as yet, still no sign of them arriving in the showrooms anytime soon.

My Google alert presented me with this item today though -

Possible hottish hatch i30 version may be coming through sometime, might make the warm version look a bit feeble? What to believe eh ??

If I have to put up with sports type seats and low profile tyres to get a bit more power and torque I'd rather it came with 250HP and 260 lb-ft  rather than what they will be delivering in a month or six.   :D

New report says  the i30 N's primary targets may be the highest performing hatchbacks in the segment, including the 296hp VW Golf R, 345hp Ford Focus RS and 306hp Honda Civic Type R.

I reckon that launch may be at least two years away.

Some new bits in latest article (unless I missed them first time :) ).

"To be launched in two years time, Nandan elaborates that engine specifications are still under discussion, but he did confirm that it will be turbocharged using WRC-derived technology.

The publication goes to say that the next-generation i30 is being developed on an all-new platform to compete with the very best hot hatches. Nandan adds that the motorsport branch is assisting in terms of R&D as well to make this project a success."

All-new platform eh? They seem to be taking this seriously. :)
