I witnessed such an accident two weeks ago in Adelaide Terrace, Perth.
I was sitting enjoying my lunch and coffee in a roadside cafe when a pedestrian butted his cigarette out in a bin at the side of the road and then darted out in front of a parked truck and got hit by a moving one.

He was flipped into the air and didn't move once he hit the ground.

We called an ambulance and the police and waited until he was carted off, no doubt with a broken collarbone/shoulder at least.

see this constantly with school kids getting of their buses,luckily I haven't seen one get hit,silly little buggers
