Know what you mean about eBay.  Can be a bit addictive (understatement).

Like, last night I got home and sitting on the table is a large parcel and sitting in the lounge is a very quiet wife.  Oops, I'd forgotten to tell her I bought a belt drive turntable with preamp I'd purchased on eBay - so that I could convert all my old LPs to MP3s.  

Works a treat though - now I'll have a heap more music for the i30.

Yes, was a bit off topic, but then again ...

It's an Optimus LAB-1100.  Has a built in pre-amp that can be turned on or off so can be used as a standard turntable as well.  Nothing specially really but does the job.  Has an auto cue and ato play function which makes copying easy.  I also use Cool Edit as my recording and editing software.  I can even cut out scratches if I want, although that is time consuming.
