I enjoyed a nice trip out this afternoon to the British heritage car Museum in Gaydon Warwickshire.
There are a few hundred British built cars on display going back to the 1890's and right through to about 2008. It was fascinating stuff.
I saw examples of the cars I have owned over the years including a 1955 Standard 8, a Hillman Imp, and an Austin Princess Ambassador. It was a trip down memory Lane. Even Libby enjoyed it and she found examples of some old cars her family owned when she was a kid, plus cars she has owned herself.
I didn't take a camera with me and used my phone. I find it near impossible to avoid camera shake with the phone but here are a few pics of interest :-
Back to the Future – the car used in the film
The taxi used in the Judge Dredd film. Built on a Land Rover chassis
Guess what – Parker was away having a fag.
Great teaching aid for students – the MGB car can be pulled apart down the centre line
Original mini sectioned
Libby's favourite - Shaun the Sheep's car
