two battery's in as many weeks,a recall could happen Asa.   how many more have prematurely died that we don't know about.  :winker:

OK, it's back and sadly I have nothing to share with you all.  No opportunty to chat was made, he brought the car round and hand me the keys and said see how we go with that and walked back indoors

The reception given me was an unspoken message as follows :-  'we haven't a bloomin clue what's wrong with it and were hoping and praying that we won't be seeing you again, anytime soon'.  This is predicated on the belief that if they'd solved the problem they would, like most other humans, be keen to show off how smart they were???

So, it's sat on the street outside, which it never is usually.  I usually garage it each time I arrive home, even for a few minutes.  However, since my garage as a slight upslope in front of the doors I am taking now chances just now although, I will garage it tonight so that, tomorrow moring will be a nervous time.
I am busting a gut to know how poor Snowcherry  is getting on with hers ???

I think that was a bit poor on their behalf, I would of expected more from them, fingers crossed that your car is fixed.  :disapp:

They had a circular regarding battery's unexpectedly discharging within a certain VIN No range and the solution is to fit a lead, this was followed by some techno waffle about a *dischagre lead to the bodywork??????*

Sounds like a possible earthing fault

OK, I can see that, but, how come I've been driving all over the north of England for 14 mths ???? with no problems. :o :o
This is why I am saying I don't have the warm fuzzies about this....  It just seems wierd to me.

I am hoping and praying that it's solved   :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared:

I can noly guess that there is some sort of earthing function built into the engine compartment as part of the build process.

Over time on certain build date models there is weakness and rather than removing the engine and associated parts this is a quick fix.

I may be wrong but it is my view.
