Today the Shell garage was selling diesel at 133.9 ppl
unleaded at 129.9 ppl

So that's an increase of 5ppl on diesel but only 3ppl on unleaded in 3 months and due to go up again

My local Shell has diesel at 138.9 ppl, and yet his small forecourt always has a queue (Tesco is 132.9)

In 2000, fuel protests sparked by rising petrol prices nearly brought parts of the country, UK, to a standstill. The price at the pump was about 80 ppl.

Today it is 133.9 plus and although they are talking about a fuel protest nothing will happen.

We will still go a buy at these high prices.

I remember that. It was our first trip to the UK and we had a hire car booked for several weeks touring the country. Actually the strike ended a couple of days before we were due to pick up the car and leave London. But there were still shortages and limits on how much you could buy in one hit. Our hire car came with only half a tankfull.

Yesterday I wrote diesel 133.9 ppl.

Today I had to refuel nas it had gone upto 135.9 ppl overnight.

Asked if they had a recent delivery and I didn't get a yes or No so are they just pushing it up because every other garage is?

Diesel and ULP 163.5 and 163.9.  Down the road 160km towards Perth ULP 189.9, diesel 194.6!!  Only the desperate and/or unsuspecting motorist buys from him.

As the bulk of (UK) fuel costs are duty & tax (yes... taxed on a duty paid)! Then in my opinion it's the Houses of Parliament that need protesting at...

In some ways I can understand the suppliers (Shell, BP etc) letting forecourt prices rise... from their perspective, why let the Government get mor revenue than the suppliers get for the product?

I'm all for cheaper fuel, but protest at the right target I say...
