been playing with it today - certainly looks promising.  One difference is that bookmark handling seems rudImentary  compared to firefox but I guess google's intent is to make them somewhat unnecessary.

I'm a bit concerned at this item from their Ts & C's in section 7.1

By submitting, posting or displaying the content, you give Google a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free and non-exclusive licence to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any Content that you submit, post or display on or through the Services.

So, stuff uploaded to Photobucket via Chrome uploader can be stolen and amended by Google. Blog updates likewise.

Not clever, but I'll still give it a whirl shortly.

Well I have to say it's fast, and doesn't use excessive CPU on certain flash pages.

However, while testing out how completely it uninstalls, it leaves GoogleUpdate.exe in the system startup list (Start>Run>msconfig). That process is not just checking for updates (how could it, when I've uninstalled it?) However, it still wanted to access the net which I disallowed (ZoneAlarm).

I'll wait to see what the experts find before I try it again.

Even while "uninstalled", I still got this

Be aware that even after 6 hours following the uninstall, this still looks like Google is doing "spyware activities".......

I would be a little cautious ... Google is master of the 'dial home track your usage web visits collate statistics watch over your shoulder' club... Some people aren't concerned about online privacy but to me it's sorta important.

You don't need to wait Hemmi, you already have it... Google Chrome is just an earlier version of Apple Safari (the reason it's exploitable; later versions of Safari have been patched against the exploit) - If you've got a late model Mac you've already got Safari - and without all the Google dial-home garbage.
