I inspected the air filter and pollen filter to see if they were in a state to be replaced.
The pollen filter looked a bit nasty with bugs, dirt and dust.

However, the air filter (for the engine) looked quite clean in comparison, no much dirt or dust and just one stray bug. So I am wondering how this is possible since both were replaced at the same time 2 years ago. Is there another filtering stage for the engine air filter?

Our gd cabin filter was replaced when 6 months old by me ,full of crap. Check every 6 and just change as needed. I  think the difference is that the cabin intake area getsdirt,  leaves and dead bugs on ,they get past the plastic screen and end up in the filter,  could be wrong
